Arizona debut–Verdi Requiem!!
UCLA CHORALE PERFORMING IN ARIZONA!!!
The UCLA Chorale has been invited to perform the monumental Verdi Requiem with the nationally renowned Arizona Musicfest this February! This is a tremendous honor for UCLA and for our students, who will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform with world-class musicians from the New York Philharmonic, Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, and the Chicago & Cleveland Symphonies. Each of our 115 UCLA undergraduate and graduate students is incredibly excited by this opportunity, as it has been nearly a decade since the Chorale travelled nationally to perform. This will also be our first time as a choir in Arizona!
Thrilled with this opportunity, we invite you to be a part of this monumental experience for UCLA and its students. We would be honored if you attended the concert to show your pride and rally support for our UCLA community on Sunday, February 26th at 3:00pm at Pinnacle Presbyterian Church in Scottsdale, AZ. Please visit www.azmusicfest.org for more information.
UCLA and the music festival are contributing what they can to make this trip possible, but we need to raise an additional $200 per student by Feb. 26th. We invite you to sponsor one or more students the remaining $200, so every member of choir can participate in this amazing music festival.
This will be the event of a lifetime for many of our singers, and like any family, we look to you, our fellow Bruins and larger choral ‘family’ to ensure that our students will leave UCLA with memories of this incredible life-changing event.
